Chalk and stick CONTÉ

This is a group containing drawing tools like white and black chalk; chalk Conté which is represented by red chalk, bistre and sepia. Red chalks stands for brown – red colour, the other chalks are sepia dark brown and sepia light brown called bistre. Using white and black chalk is very economical way of work. With the white colour we can draw tones from the middle positions to the brightest one, the black we can use for the darkest tone and the colour of paper is used for the neutral tone.

Red chalks are very favourite mainly because their softness and fervency which they give to each drawing. Many artists do like them for their fine excitableness and use them for nude drawing. The most common paper used for this kind of drawing is grey-white tone paper.
