Pen and Ink drawing

Every stroke by the author is final and cannot be retouched. The line of the quill depends on the type of point and whether the quill is often dipped in the ink or not. The variety of tones in one line and specific impressiveness of the line drawn by diluted ink is often overlooked by spectrum of pen drawing. Besides the traditional quill or rattan there also exist plenty of steel pen or new types of pens with hollow point. For quality creations is best to use traditional glued paper.

A sharp, simple work with pen, brush and not diluted ink offer an economical way to create dramatic effects of the light and the shadow. If you work on damp base, you lose the control over the final picture. There is never certain where and how the ink will go and the drawing is lead by chance. The edges of the lines become slightly hairy and the final picture gets an unforgettable atmosphere.
